can i search the details for something that i purchased over 12 months ago ?

eBay stores a limited amout of information in your archived purchase history (accessable via the My eBay link at the top of the page) - it shows up to the last 3 years of purchases, by year (so select 2012 in the archived section if the purchase was made in that year), and it will show you title, item number, seller and price paid.

If it is older than the three years eBay gives you in archived, go to your Paypal history if you pay that way. Payments will have the details for the price, item number and seller ID.
