I think you might be right in that they are other people's search terms. I know if I've done a search for "mineral specimens", underneath might see "mineral spe", which is probably someone forgetting to put the rest of the word in.
It's disturbing that someone has searched for that search term on eBay! I was going to go and have a look and see what came up, but as my husband and I use the same account, I didn't want him thinking I was searching for really bad stuff. Plus, in the event one of us ever got into strife and our computers were seized, I didn't want any record of any search words like that anywhere! (not that either of us are planning on getting into strife any time soon, but I know someone where a case of mistaken identity had their computer seized.....and returned with a full apology).
I'm actually surprised the mods haven't been along to remove that part of the title. It might outrage the chronically outraged!!!
