I take full responsiblity for making a quick decision before reading all the fine print.
The offer as i quickly read it after months of ignoring ads to join
" $49 Coles gift voucher if you join today"
Now i find i have to spend $150 or more to take advantage of the $49 offer. No way, i was conned by fancy words and will ensure that after this year membership runs out NO MORE
Ebayers beware

See if you can find something 150+ that you are going to need to get anyway, then you in effect get your money back for the sub.
Have a look at the T&C's, you may be able to buy many smaller items from one seller or possibly different sellers.
Vouchers often allow that.
Edit - Just noticed you said Coles voucher. I could easily spend 150 in groceries.

or, see if they sell gift cards. Buy $150 worth of gift cards for $101, then go and use the gift card on groceries at your local Coles.
Also, use eBay plus to get free postage on items that you were going to buy anyway that are shown as eBay plus items.
I took up the offer to join eBay plus and have saved more than $100 on postage. Havenโt had to return any of the items I bought, but postage on returns of eBay plus items is also free!

I think I saw this offer and if it is the same one, you can make multiple purchases to get it up to that $150, as long as the purchases are all made at the same time ie i imagine they mean eg maybe up to 10 different items all in the cart together when you check out.
I don't think this would be too difficult. Make a list of birthdays coming up, maybe even Christmas gifts you could put away. There might be specialty tea products (I am cheating with this one as I know there are, with gorgeous tea pots and cups/saucers etc). These sorts of things would make great gifts. There is some lovely hand made Australian jewellery.
Not all of these things are ebay plus things but from memory, I don't think they have to be, you just have to spend $150 in one go? Double check, but I think that is the case.
Have fun, then claim that $49 voucher.

Hi
The trouble is that it was along side a "Coles" logo and i mistakingly joined the 2 x together and would have been happy to use it at Coles.
But i found out later that Coles and many other large suppliers were NOT included in offer.
I made the mistake of taking it for face value and not reading the fine print. It was the PRINCIPLE here that was wrong.
PS. since it happended Ebay has resolved the problem to our satisfaction.

Rick

Hi
What you are suggesting is all OK, but if Ebay had made it clear from when the offer was made that the $49 voucher was not redeemable with Coles, Bunnings etc, $150 had to be spent and within 4 weeks i would never have excepted it. My fault for not reading all T&C. With regards to free postage saving i would not of come close to saving that much in 4 weeks.

Hi
All what you said above is OK and i fully understand.
My beef is that it was not clear up front and i do accept fault, but i do not want to buy things at a value of $150 in one hit just to claim this voucher.
Make it clear at the beginning what the T&C's are and i would be happy

good to read that you have resolved this issue with eBay.
With eBay plus, you get a whole year of free postage on any eBay plus items and not just 4 weeks.
I saved the cost of eBay plus within the first few weeks, and any other eBay plus items I buy will add to my savings.
I will recoup the cost of eBay plus just on the free postage thingy, and I will end up saving many $

I think what you are upset about is true of a lot of different sites & not just ebay, unfortunately.
I have got to the stage I look for the catches before I get too excited by any offers.
