Hi,
So I recently won an auction and i sent payment through paypal immediately but then the sellers email was unregistered and was sitting unclaimed. The seller told me he had changed his email and now it was fixed so I should cancel that payment and do another one. So upon cancelling the first paypal transaction, ebay doesn't give me the option to pay again so it's sitting on our ebay accounts saying the payment is being processed when it was cancelled many days ago.
I contacted ebay to ask if they can reset it so that I can pay like nothing happened but instead the reps tell me to ask for a manual invoice through paypal and I will be protected as a buyer through paypal which is fine except for the fact that while I try to message the seller and give him my email and ask for paypal invoice I run into a bunch of difficulty in requesting a manual invoice a) because I cannot message with emails and b) I can't use the word "invoice" in messages either..
So when ebay customer service tells me to pay through paypal yet the site restricts my communication so much to avoid transactions outside of ebay, what am I to do?? ๐

Get creative LOL. type out a short message in word or even on just a piece of paper saying please resend invoice or your email address, take a photo of it and attach it to the ebay message. In the message section just write " see attached picture"

Using a protracted form of email address will usually work, eg (not a real email address): username[at]niftymail[dot]com[dot]au.
I have also found that 'invoice' is ok to send in a message, but 'PayPal invoice' isn't. A sentence like 'use PayPal to send a new invoice' has gone through without issue before.
