I placed an order from overseas and I wish to leave feed back for two items ( not yet received) of an order of three. The third item has been received and feed back left.Due to staff not being at work (lockdown), suppliers not being able to deliver stock to the seller because of COVID19 The time for me to give feed back is about to expire. Will feed back still be active because the seller has been unable to send my items. I did pay for these on 16th Dec 2020. I normally leave feed back once the items have been delivered to me. James

4channel, I find the content of your post offensive.

You can ignore my post if you wish; however, I want to go on record that your comparing of digital*ghost to Joseph Stalin is absurb, and not representative of your better nature.

Can you not disagree with digital*ghost without bringing totalitarianism and murder of dissident opinions into the conversation?

I'm sorry to be so blunt. I respect your right to hold your own views. I will not, however, remain silent when I see this sort of post demeaning a well respected individual who - while disagreeing with you - has remained polite and does not post offensively.

More importantly, I know how to participate in them without resorting to logical fallacies and outrageous rhetoric.

If you want to disagree with me, then actually do it with reason and purpose. If you want to discredit my opinions, then provide opposing arguments.

If you don't want to participate in debate, then just respectfully decline to do so.

You'll notice I said "me of a more gentle minister of propaganda during the era of Joseph Stalin in a parallel dimension". Simple, that's what digital ghost post came out like. Saying I "claim to have been in sales, yet you have remarkably naive beliefs surrounding the sales / marketing tactics sellers use. Well, I don't claim, I have been involved in sales and to say I am naiive isn't all that nice. So all I said that digital ghost is thdegentle "Fluffy cuddly toy" if you like verson of Stalin's minister in a "Parallel Dimension . The cartoon was propaganda of sorts. Lighten up countessalmirena.

BTW: I don't lump digital ghost in with the bullies that are around  the joint. Never have and I'm on record in saying that. But I will say that digital ghost  does emply certain tactics in their debate process.

Gosh you were quick to come on board.

And I hope the Duke of Earl can help you to lighten up

digital*ghost has said that she thinks your beliefs around sales/marketing tactics are naïve. That is not on the same level as a comparison to Joseph Stalin.

Please do not tell me to "lighten up". The reason why I'm reading through the boards at this very moment is that I have been bawling my eyes out in grief, missing the family member with intolerable loss. I'm flipping through several boards just to take my mind off it. I've ordered something on Ubereats just to take my mind off it (even though I cooked a perfectly good meal earlier). I've got an episode of "Leverage" on catchup, to take my mind off it. I'm emailing a friend in Cyprus with all sorts of whimsical nonsense just to take my mind off it. Anything that might distract me. That should also answer your "gosh you were quick" comment. There isn't some sort of conspiracy against your posts - or if there is, I'm not aware of it.

No, the Duke of Earl (whoever that is - I'm not clicking onto the link) isn't going to be able to help me "lighten up".

A gentler versiojn of Stalin in a paralell dimension would be nicer than the real one. I found what was said to me to be a lemon bite as well.

Sorry for your loss. Hope that treasured memories shine though always.

BTW: Duke of Earl is the nick name for  doo wop singer Gene Chandler (Who had a #1 hit with the song of the same name in 1962)  and the song was "Groovy Situation" a hit  in 1970

That is a claim - it may be a matter of fact to you, but it's certainly not substantiated in any way to the rest of the people who read your posts. Same as me stating anything about myself. eg I've said I run multiple stores on various platforms... Do you know if that's true?

I pointed this out because you implied that a note asking buyers to leave feedback supports your theory that sellers feel feedback is an integral part of eBay, and I find that to be a pretty significant misreading (and ergo misrepresentation) of the primary reason sellers do that, which I have mentioned it to you before. I also find that kind of misreading - from someone who says they have been in sales - a little confusing and at odds with a proclaimed history in sales.

Perhaps I should have softened my language and not started the post with a "lol", I'm sure that is not the best way to engage someone, but I stand by the content of my post even if it reads a little less friendly, which was that:

Marketing tactics are used to get a desired outcome, sometimes it's subtle, sometimes it's overt and done quite distastefully (as was the comic I included as an example), and that I'm surprised someone with a history in sales doesn't recognise this when they get little notes from sellers in with their packages.

Wordless languages.

Have you ever had slips put in your parcel with the seller asking to please leave feedback?

Yes, I get them, and I put them where they belong. In the bin. Then, the seller either gets no feedback at all, or gets a red dot. They want feedback? They should be careful what they wish for.

I've kept some of them and put them inside the article I have purchase as it's good to remember where they (the item) came from. Also good as a contact for a good eBay seller. Some are quite fancy and some are  plain with typing. Often having a slip in the parcel shows a good seller who is concerned with customer's happiness as much as theirs.

BTW: Some slips have "Keep an eye out for our up and coming specials and listings" etc. Or occasionally "Please add us to your favourite seller's list".

And hey, why not!
