Should free post mean just that, not pickup only when you go item site?

it wastes so much time

The ability to remove 'pick up only' from searches would be great too ๐Ÿ˜„

This is a problem with the way eBay has designed the listing form, and how they allow items to be listed.

When a seller lists an item and only wants to offer pick-up, the option to select "no postage, local pick ip only" is not actually available by default, however pick-up can still be ticked as it's there as an additional option (intended for use when the seller can offer both postage and pick-up options). If local pick-up is ticked, no postage service / quote has to be entered and the listing can be submitted, so it then goes on to display "free postage" in search results, but pick up as the only option when you click to view the listing.

The "proper" way to list is somewhat hidden, (that is, a seller generally has to see and click a link to open up a window for more options, then add the local pick-up only as an option, then save the option, then select it in the postage section - which removes all other postage options - and submit the listing that way. Only then will search results say "Free; local pick-up only).

So, I think the best way to reduce everyone's confusion and/or wasted time is to suggest to eBay that the local pick-up only option is available in the listing form by default.
