global shipping programe .Had a win !

I recently bought a very large item from the US valued at $340 USD  Shipping was quoted at $84 usd  . I checked other web sites for the same product  only to be quoted $350 USD just for shipping . I went ahead with the ebay  purchase received the part in 2 1/2 weeks delivered by  fedex. So thought i would share this experience as the GSP cops a lot of flack but can be cheaper !

It is good to hear of a buyer who is satisfied with the GSP.

It has always been acknowledged that it is very cost effective for large and heavy items.

Yes, large items are much cheaper via GSP. The large item I bought a few years back was $69 to post with GSP and around $130 via USPS. The GSP was never designed for small items, like earrings or a CD, but with eBay opting everyone in without them realising, everything was being quoted at a highly inflated GSP rate.

Surely logical if the GSP only kicks in with items over a certain weight or size. But PB would miss out so won't happen.
