hi . im from India and my name is ravi. i will not name the seller yet because my issue is under discussion. I won five auctions from the same seller at 0.99 each. so a set of 5-6 phantom frew books at less than 5 dollars. Now the seller insists that i have to pay $24 as postage from maroochydore queensland to NSW 2164 even though the package would be 1- 1.5 kg max.
I have had so many wonderful transactions with other australian sellers on e bay but this guy is out to gyp me.
all my negotiations are fruitles. i have told him to post it as standard post at my risk for 5 dollars. he says either pay 24 $ as postage or he will cancel the transaction. any suggestions on what i must do?

Ravi, If the seller cancels the tranaction he will get a defect under the new system. Having said that, the postage cost doesn't seem high in my opinion. If I were the Seller, I would not send an item without tracking and signature OS. I think it would be far too risky, leaving yourself wide open. That's just my opinion. Let's see what others say .

1. You will not name the seller at all.....big no no.....item number(s) are fine.
2.What was the postage price in the listing(s) ?
3.You can not be "forced" just as you can not "force" the seller to provide you with the goods.
4. The seller can only cancel by offering a mutual cancellation.....if you decline he will be charged fees.
5. Personally I would walk away & leave appropriate feedback.
6. Also bear in mind that the seller does not have to offer combined postage.......the time to negotiate that was prior to bidding.

Hi horizon, I believe the OP said the items were coming from QLD to NSW !

tuck, think your correct ๐ It baffles me why the seller isn't combining the postage. We are not taking about large & bulky items that may not be practicle to do so.

Hi again horizon,I would suggest that the seller is none too pleased about the final price & is trying it on.
IMO just another example of eBay NOT being the problem so much as a tiny percentage of members who attempt to cause grief for upright traders & make things downright unpleasant for others.
If people would just deal in an honest fashion......aw shudup tuck ....you're dreaming !

tuck, then the seller is in for a Big red Dot to look at. + he deserves it.

Postage cost would be 3kg satchel $13.40 + SOD $2.95 + Ebay/PP fees $1.05 + packing costs $2.00 = $19.40.
Seller only got 0.99c for each one and probably hoped for more.
