You may get more response if you ask on the UK boards.  I doubt that many UK sellers are reading the Aussie boards.

Have you thought of looking on the UK ebay site?

It may be for sale on there and you could contact the seller and explain you are willing to pay the postage etc

Failing that, is it possible to find the website for the company that makes the item and checking if they will sell it to you or if they have Australian distributors.

What is it you are wanting to buy and how heavy is it? I have in the past allowed Aussie buyers to use my address when buying things and have then posted them although delivery costs to Aus are very high just now or if it is something small enough and it is not urgent I can bring it over woth me at the end of Oct and post it to you using AP. Just to explain I spend half the year here in the UK and the other half in Aus.
