made to pay import gst on a item clearly listed in Sydney NSW

I have been charged import gst on a item that clearly states item located in Sydney NSW 

this is not right

What is the item number - RHS of the listing page ?

It might SAY the item is located in Sydney , but is it really?

As mentioned, we need to see the item number to be able to try to advise

I believe it goes by where the seller is REGISTERED, not where the item is located.

Many Chinese sellers say they have Aus stock, but in reality it still ships from China.

You can see where the seller is located by looking at their feedback page, or you can give us an item number so we can look for ourselves.

If the seller sends from an Australian warehouse/shipping hub then normally no GST is payable. If coming from China and sent directly to the buyer then the GST would show in checkout Jelly.

One of those "Teflon Seller" grey areas ...................
