I am getting rather tired of Sellers who advertise items as "one of a kind" when it is an obvious lie. Some even have more than one of the same item listed and still called it OOAK. I think it is about time I started reporting these people. As a person looking for genuine one of a kind items, I find it annoying to have to wade through hundreds of items to find a genuine OOAK.

yes, it is annoying, but I guess that's advertising jargon for ya, eh?

It's deceptive and misleading advertising, which is against the law in Australia. I'm going to start reporting these people, I have really lost my patience.

Hello, everyone. This thread is getting a little off-topic. Could we please bring the discussion back to "Sellers who advertise items as 'one of a kind'" Thanks!

Some people don't actually understand what this means.
I've seen a lot of sellers who seem to be under the impression that if they design or make something, and are the only ones selling it, OOAK means you can't get it anywhere else even if they have made 50 of them.
OOAK is more akin to "New with tags" - it either is or it isn't, and not the same thing as something like "rare", "limited" etc, it's a very specific phrase and not subject to personal interpretation. One of A Kind = only one of these in existance, and if it carries any inference at all, it's "...and there will never be another."
Not really sure how far reporting will get you, though. I just kinda snort a bit when I see sellers misusing it, as they're just making themselves look like scheisters or uninformed, silly people.
