I want to post all about my awesome olly-vac! *waves at go-tazz*
But seriously...
Hi folks,
I tried to get into Hijack Hunters today and got the message "Sorry, you do not have sufficient privileges for that action."
Does this mean I need more feedback, or have been deliberately denied access, or need to do some kind of upgrade to my account, or the thread has been removed/deleted, or a glitch?
I am having a lot of trouble tracking down a policy that might explain this - does anyone have any ideas?
Thanks
BH 🙂

No, wait... That smiley doesn't do the situation justice - and if the thread has been removed, never to return, neither do Lithium.
I can't seem to find it, and I get that same message when I attempt to access a thread that has been removed.
😞
Technically, there is a board policy that states the forums aren't to be used to report policy violations, but I find it difficult to understand how the forums can be used to report policy violations when there's no one here to report them to... Just members who have spent a lot of time and effort keeping the eBay community safe from fraudulent listings, where eBay couldn't or wouldn't.

BH, it looks like the thread has been deleted. The thread kept getting removed and restored last time the boards changed. Hopefully it will be back soon.

hmm, well, on the one hand it's good that it's not just me - that allays a whole stack of issues...
But then if Lithium or eBay has required its removal because of that policy, then basically most of the threads on the board shouldn't exist because so many of them are to do with someone having violated some kind of policy.
And besides, where else on earth could I put this picture?

The new mods appear to me to have no commonsense.
New interpretations by Lithium mods, of what were pretty well understood rules by ebay members, may have occurred.
If we can't discuss ebay buying and selling matters that we are important on the ebay trading discussion boards they will pretty much die a slow death - they have already lost some steam and spark since the moderation changeover - who knows - maybe thats the aim ?
And mods nothing in this post explictly refers to any particular post that was removed - I am making a general observation, there are no usernames, item titles, item numbers, reporting policy violations, reference to a particular removed thread or post or undiscussable matter.... yada yada..

crikey*mate yes you can PM me 🙂
thecatspjs might we be experiencing another cultural chasm like what happened many years ago that resulted in an Australian moderator being appointed?
