Way back in August I purchased a gimbal from an E-Bay seller.The unit had some very poor quality parts, one part failed resulting in a short and the whole item had to be returned for replacement. The seller took so long to do anything that the 45 day limit for lodging a claim had expired and now they claim that the item was re-sent but it has never arrived. It seems to me this is an easy way for sellers to rip people off and avoid any consequences. I will certainly NEVER buy electonic goods via E-Bay again as the risk just isn't worth it.

I don't buy anything on ebay that I'm not prepared to lose my money on. In other words if it's electrical or expensive I buy it in a bricks and mortar store where if anything goes wrong I can easily take it back. I'm sorry you have lost you money but you really should have made a claim within the 45 day period. If you paid by credit card through paypal you may be able to do a chargeback through your bank.

If you funded the Paypal payment with a credit card and you have proof of delivery for the return then you can go to your card provider and ask if they will do a chargeback.

 

For anyrhing over about ten bucks I would never return anything without doing it through a Paypal dispute so the correct return address is clear. If you return outside a dispute and them have to open one the seller can give any address for the return and as you have sent elsewhere you will not be able to prove you sent anything to the seller.
