I purchased a car cover from the US .I live in Australia. The cover arrived but was to small for my car and the cover tore.I asked the seller for a refund but he said I would have to send the cover back for this to happen .I paid $124 .00 Us and about half of that was postage .It would cost me approx $40.00 to send back so the total price would be much more than I was willing to pay .I could have purchased one here but the one he was advertising was specifically for a my make of car and shape .I asked the seller if I could send it back for him to see and inspect .I then would expect him to see that I was not trying to pull one over him and he would then refund the complete total amount to me .He declined .I even sent him photos showing the cover to small . Currently now in Paypals hands . haaaa!

For a refund to occur PayPal will ask you return the item by tackable means (at your cost). Either way it is going to cost you return postage to get your original purchase price plus original postage ONLY back.

Yes I have a feeling this will be the outcome.I have in the past been in the same scenario wher the seller just says keep it and we will send you another to replace it .I mean this would be the best outcome .Its not a perfect system buying on Ebay .Every city should have a Ebay sherriff who can check the item and verify the problem .oh well its a thought !t

Don't be too smug about that.....paypal will instruct you to return the cover by trackable post at your own cost in order to get a refund of your original costs....item cost and postage. They will not give you back the money it costs you to return the item.

Can you imagine how busy that Sheriff would be. ๐

I hope you are saying that with your tongue planted firmly in your cheek. Do you have any idea how much it would cost to employ someone in every city in Australia, let alone in evey country where there are ebay buyers. The fees would be so high that no-one would list at all and even if the Chinese sellers listed their items the postage would be so high that there would be no buyers...there would be no ebay.
