I bought a coat from a seller, whom listed postage as standard postage $11.50, coat arrived squashed into a 500 gram pre paid bag cost, $6.80 I sent her an email, and asked if the over charge of $4.70 was fair, she said yes as it was in her listing.
read her reply to me below
Hi I charged you whot i advertise if you not happy with postage you shoud not bid, or contact mi before bidding. I think you get good bargain the coat cost over $500.00. And is as new. If you not happy you ken send the coat back and I refind you the All postage.

That would really be adding insult to injury!!!!

hello Helen,
I revised the feedback left, I contacted her this morning, hopefully fingers crossed the seller will look at another point of view, I work really really hard to do the right thing, to be honest if you list it and advertise it then honour it, postage costs packing and all, should be stated in ad if you state 3kg bag and use a smaller one, then your not being honest.

Prudence-you've JUST left a positive with a negative comment for a non payer-WTF??
YOU are now in breach of ebay policy if that person reports you-geez.

Good morning,
you are really great to do that - and your seller should be very grateful and offer your difference in price back - and if she doesn't it's her giant credibily loss (for a very little monetary gain!).
And I do agree that anyone ought to send stuff in the advertised size package, that wasn't the issue at all - I think we all agree there.
We never do it, not only that our items go in correct packaging, they are also beautifully wrapped, in prfumed tissue and glossy overwrap with a ribbon tied around it - and sometimes with coins stuck on the wrapper, being the small difference in postage charged. But even if we all lost our minds on the day and did same as your seller - we would understand getting a neg - but it would't speak well of the neg giver!
Again, you are awesome to have changed it - more for your sake than the seller's.
Keep well,
Helen.

Patchoo - check out the new click and send boxes that AP have now for ebay. If it is a larger item, perhaps one of them may suit, and I think the cost is quite reasonable compared to normal packing that AP have to cube out (it can be a very expensive option.)also - try e-go for larger items, I found them very good and quite cost effective especially if the parcel is an odd shape. The delivery tme is longer, but if it is not for a customer it shouldnt be a problem etc?

They did post at the quoted price
your neg is unfair
end of story
NO, they did not post at quoted price, they posted by cheaper service unsuitable for the item. If you leave low star rating there is a selection of reason why you are marking that way; posting by cheaper way than you paid for is one of tem.
The person who said above that coat is easy to iron, obviously does not wear coats. The only way badly crushed coat can be made look good is to dry clean it, and last time I had my coats dry cleaned it cost me $15 per coat (and I am sure that was a special deal as I had 5 done).

I think the OP/buyer did the right thing, contacted Seller, got a *too bad, so sad* response from the seller, so I feel the neg was worthy.
If the OP does change the NEG I hope she will change it to neutral and leave the comment, because if I would come across some of her items, I would like to know what this seller does with them. That is what FB is about after all. What is a point of FB for sellers if buyers are bullied into not saying that seller charges plenty for proper posting and then sends beautiful item to arrive as total mess?

As to whether the dress was worth $500 or not, whether the dress was crushed or not, are “red herrings” in this argument
.
The seller, on the auction page, clearly states:
.
AU $11.50 AusPost PrePaid Parcel Post Satchels 3kg
.
The seller did not honour this
.
We all make mistakes, but to add insult to injury, they neither apologised, nor refunded the buyer
.
Refusing to rectify their “mistake”
.
In my opinion, the seller deserved the neg
.
And the OP was wrong to revise their feedback

I really admire someone who can take on board comments and constructive criticism and maybe have a bit of a re-think.
You have my admiration. (not that I imagine you care!)
But well done. An injustice righted - and your feedback now appropriately reflects the situation in my opinion.

So... will you be removing this OP from your BBL now that she has your admiration again?
As far as im concerned, this OP was *swayed* to change her FB, whereas, other buyers would like to know that the seller overcharges and squashes her items into lesser sized postage methods.
