Are there any other persons who have dealt with the seller. I made a claim under the warranty period in December 2013. At this time there has been no reponse apart from an automated email reply. I cannot locate the sellers address or other contact details. How is it that sellers can have a Top rated seller listing but are not required to give the details of their contacts. I have tried the office of fair trading but they are also unable to contact the seller. Why doe sEbay allow this to happen. Surely an registered ABN as a min for the sellers who for all intense and purpose are active sellers. In this buyers have an avenue to make legal contact with sellers.

No-one who reads the boards would deal with that seller...he is arguably the worst seller on ebay.
Have you pulled the seller's contact details from ebay?

Jaques, that seller appears regularly on these forums, their warranties mean nothing and their feedback says it all.
You could try Consumer Affairs with this but unfortunately eBay will do nothing for you or to them........sigh.

Thank you all for the comments. I realise that Ebay are only a conduit for sellers and buyers there should be some min requirement for contact details. I have received details for the company but not sure if this the contact for the ebay seller. Thanks anyway for the information.
Like all users buyer beware.

The information came direct from another ebay user. Not ebay direct.

I also believe that warranty's are often not valid for items if sold on eBay.

If you go to any item in their store you can get all the details that you need for a Fair Trading claim. There is a full name and address and you can get the ACN from the ASIC site.
