I posted a few items off today The lady behind the counter mentioned that one was just over 1kg but she would charge me for under. I would have calculated the postage as over, and the buyer charge respectively. If she had not mentioned this to me the buyer would most likely be p'd off because of my over charging on postage. I womder how many times this has happened to me and others.
Several times when post cost worked out cheaper than a sellers quoted post charge, I have received a small refund, either through paypal, or coins or bank note in parcel.
