sizing

I don't know why sellers get so upset when u message them about sizing if there are no messurements. I just found out that for a 10 to 12 I would need to order a large for a costume from sydney. So with the change in size 10 target being a small of course I may need to ask.

You give me plenty of laughs.

I'll live to 100 if you post at least once a week.

Hey dave, that is very much at odds to your usual reactions to any of our posts!

But this is a good turn - so stay entertained and have a great night!

I'm sure going to - going out to have a ball - what else else is new!

Loooooove this time of year, wild parties every night, between now and Christmas - don't know how any of us quite make through the next day at work.

What I post in reaction to yours may be at variance with my true feelings.

After all, why give an under-bridge dweller a fair go?

I do however get a little tiny bit peeved when asked for measurements that are already in the listing.

We also get that, asking for measurements all the time - and we have been putting measurements in everything since we started, like years ago.

We usually tell them we are so sorry to see they so visually challenged - and on top of that, if they ask for any other obvious (already stated) details we politely suggest they may need an IQ test as well as an eye test

They always get really pis...d at us - dunno why!!!

What a charming way to treat your customers.

I wonder how many never proceed with the transaction after receiving a message like that?

Over the years I must have sent hundreds of Ebay Messages to sellers asking for measurements, to the point every time I do, I expect ebay to question the number of messages I send

Why ebay don't require sellers to include measurements is a mystery, because it would save a lot of time and ebay messages back and forth

(Similarly with bulky items which need to be picked-up.  Surely ebay can implement a system whereby at least the State is included in the header -- i.e., 'Framed Print.  80 x 95 cms.  Victoria'.  Because if I search only those items within my desired kilometre range, I'm likely to miss out on items where the seller is prepared -- and some are, if you do the mouse-miles -- to send by post and/or offer pick-up.  Under the current system, I have to scroll through several hundred items or peruse only those in my nominated kilometre range)

So ok.  I message the seller to ask for measurements.  And sometimes, the seller responds.  But subsequent prospective buyers aren't always able to access that information when they click on Ask a Question, for some reason.  So another prospective buyer has to message the seller for the same information.  Would it be intelligent of the seller to amend their item-description to include the measurements?  You'd think so.  With many, though, you could be excused for suspecting the measurements are a secret.  Naturally, by not amending their item-description after several people have asked for measurements, those sellers restrict themselves to a limited buyer-pool.  I have one of those sellers in my Watch List.  She failed to sell her items first time - failed to sell when they were relisted -- and now, several weeks later, she's listed them again but still no measurements despite I've asked for them twice already !  What a dunce

After years of it, you get weary.  These days, I have to really have an interest in an item before I'll bother asking for details.  And due to postage costs, I lose interest fast if the seller doesn't have multiple items in which I'm interested.  I don't have the staying power any longer -- don't have the patience.   I hit one listing after another with stupid item descriptions (those which describe what you can see with your own eyes in the photo) with the invitation to 'message me for measurements or other info ' tra la.  No, sweetie.  I won't.  Get off your bum and measure the **bleep** thing.  Two minutes, that's all it will take.  Two minutes you'll have to sacrifice on your mobile or Facebook, if you want me to buy your thing.  Otherwise I'm logging out and off to do something I enjoy, rather than trawling through mountains of stuff on ebay

Hi, I just tried to ask questions about three of your items and i received this response before I was even able to ask any question.

"We're sorry we couldn't find an answer for you. Unfortunately, this seller is not able to respond to your question. We suggest reviewing the item again to see if your answer is in the seller's listing."

Whoops. That automatic "I don't answer questions" setting. One would, if one were that way inclined, wonder how much else that this member has posted was also fantasy.

I have had sellers when I have asked a question give a rude comment followed by as stated in the listing.

So I go back and double check and you know what it doesn't say it.Smiley Tongue

I also think say I missed it and asked who cares people make mistakes and just as sellers want the buyer to be understanding when leaving feedback, contact them if a mistake is made. Maybe they could act in the same way.
