why is there no option for help, other than a refund

I would really like some help from EBay but it seems there is only one thing you do...organise a refund.  I don't want a refund, I want the product I ordered.  How can I communicate with you when all you do is arrange a refund.  And now, as well as getting the run-around from the retailer, I now get a message from EBay that says "You are attempting to communicate about an invalid item."  I'm continuing an email chain that goes back to JULY when I paid for the product.  There should be a list of about 20 emails from me and from them.

Will you please take me out of your automated system and put a real EBay person in touch with me.

Thanks

Phil

this forum is not ebay. just ebay buyers and sellers offering free help.

if you want to contact ebay customer service go to the 'help & contact' button at the top of the screen. follow the instructions until you get to the phone number, then request a callback. someone from ebay will call you and you can tell them all your woes, maybe they will give you some options or even a result.

Nobody, ebay included, can force a seller to go through with a sale so in your own interests you should have accepted the refund. If you have received one then move on and look elsewhare, you are never going to receive anything from that seller. If you haven't received a refund then you have probably waited too long to get one through ebay so should find the transaction in Paypal and open a dispute there as you have longer. Upgrade the dispute to a claim straight away, no point in waiting.

PJ is dead right.

July is ages ago. If you haven't received the item by now, face facts, you are never going to.

I am actually a bit shocked you have let things go on this long, you have been far too patient.

Ebay can do a lot of things-they can pull listings, ban or penalise sellers & so on, but what they can't do is force a seller (or a buyer for that matter) to complete a transaction.

Do as PJ suggested, open a paypal case straight away & get a refund.
