Hi there,
I was recently given this red garment as a gift, however I am puzzled as to what it actually is. I thought maybe it was a scarf or hijab, but im only speculating. Also if anyone has any information on the brand - 'Amana' - it would be greatly appreciated.

Hi,
Just a guess - I sell skiwear and if this goes around your neck it could be a neckwarmer - designed to be worn under a jacket etc for extra warmth (like a turtleneck with the body cut off). Some are made from this types of open weave so that if it's very cold (going up on a lift perhaps), it can be pulled up to also cover your face and ears, while still allowing you to breathe. It's a little difficult to tell without actually handling.
Cheers,
Marina.

Just a follow-up. I googled "Amana" and there are references to a new eco-fashion label, and woollen mills. Might be worth checking out.
Hope this helps,
Marina.

Could it be a "magic scarf"? (ebay item 190929670480 for instance) I can't tell how long yours is, but if it is made from a very stretchy yarn and can be stretched lengthways, you might get lots of ideas here: http://www.wimp.com/clothingsorcery/

Thanks for the responses and sorry for taking awhile to respond myself. I think it is a neckwarmer afterall
