If you create a search for the item you're looking for then save it to your 'Saved Searches' you will be contacted by email as soon as something suitable is listed. incidentally, just so you know, it is a breach of eBay Discussion Board policy to solicit specific items via the forums.
why? I can understand why it would be if it was seller promoting but why can't buyers say "hey, I'm after this" surely that would help ebay as a whole.
Beats me. I don't make the rules here, I only try not to break them too often. At a guess, however, I'd say that eBay are concerned that soliciting specific items may encourage off-eBay transactions, and we all know how important money is to them.
