I have a bronze look alike statue of Afrodite. It is 16cm high and weighs 404gms.It is labled HELLENIC ART MADE IN HELLAS. ( GREASE ) My wife has had it maybe 40years. Does anyone know anything about it. How do I tell what it is made of, I could do a displacement test but it has onyx attached. It is not reactive to a magnet. It has a ring to it , like china but it is heavy.

If you Google images "hellanic art made in hellas" you will find many similar. Most people seem to call them bronze, there is one on eBay described as copper, another person says the finish is flaking off, so they describe it as "bronze patinated metal". The values people put on them seem to vary widely!

Apparently it's the Greek way, rather than the Anglicised way. All the Hellas named statues I Googled are titled in the "Greek" manner.
