Any ideas on worth please

Hi, I have a wooden dyola dye box that used to sit on a shop counter.

The back and front open up and it still has a number of packets of dye.

Also, I have an old cast iron very heavy optometrist chair.

Would anyone have any idea what I should sell these items for?

Any help would be appreciated.

We really can't give you an estimate on price. The best thing to do is try and find something similar in completed items.

With the optometrist's chair you might be better off advertising and selling locally, as it would have to be pick-up only.

I found a Dyola dye box by searching Google images. There is one 'out there' at the moment for $225, but that is FOR sale and not sold. Why don't you check and see if it's the same as yours?

Try looking on eBay for antique barber chair - there a number in completed sales on Oz eBay. Does your chair look like any of these? There is a vast spread of prices achieved - obviously condition and style play a large part.

As already suggested, look at the various Dyola cabinet styles in Google images. If yours has a nice image / writing on the front and is in good condition, I would think $150 even $200 would be achievable. People like these old advertising cabinets; if it had a glass door with printing, so it could be used for display, it would be worth considerably more. If the dye packets are intact, and have nice printing on them, to be honest I would sell them separately.
