Sorry - forgot the adding picture procedure - I think they used them for jam or sugar - the top has a 'fixed' collar and when you tilt the handle a disc lifts up from the lid to reveal contents.
Can't for the life of me remember the wording for such a lid.......the old timers creeps up.....
