Some may remember Glenn (Glenn R Cooke) who has visited here a couple of times to comment on Harvey School pottery. The exhibition he mentioned opens at Griffith Art School Museum South Brisbane on 13th Sep and runs until Nov 3; details can be found here

The link also gives details of how to pre-order the publication which accompanies the exhibition - surely a must for anyone who collects or wants to understand more about Harvey School Pottery. The standard edition sounds like a bargain at $125 + postage when you consider that Glenn's initial 1983 publication L.J. Harvey and His School usually sells now for over $100 on the secondary market.

And over it clicks at last. It has taken me a LOT longer to reach 10,000 than others – since March 2003. But eBay for me has always been only a way of filling my time. I have grown old (literally) on eBay; and although my mirror probably tells me differently, I like to think I have aged more gracefully than eBay has.

Thank you - that's very kind. You too have always been generous with your knowledge and willingness to help others.
Like me, you would remember when this board was a vibrant place, with multiple posts every day. Members would talk about their collections, show off their latest acquisitions, and ask for and receive advice about all manner of collectables and "old stuff". As eBay changed, so most of these people have gone elsewhere, but then nothing stays the same. I am a dinosaur so far as eBay is concerned - still selling as eBay was originally intended - second hand items by auction.
Still, over 12,000 Feedback as a seller - that's a lot of photos taken and descriptions written, a lot of parcels packed and taken to the Post Office. And a lot of questionable buyers dealt with over the years; fortunately the vast majority (like all humanity) are decent people. And to think that like most small sellers, I started out as a BUYER on eBay!

Very well done to get to that feedback score and at 100% as well,
I remember becoming a member to buy stuff and then hopefully sell stuff and I've sold a few items but that's
not even 10% of your sales,(between two accounts),
I still use the first item I bought on here,(a White Wings belt clip that has a small knife and nail file).
Also your knowledge and help for others is always appreciated,(it's certainly made it easier for me),

I wouldn't be staking too much on the 100% Feedback; it is (as you would know) at the mercy of any mildly peeved Buyer who may have had a very bad day elsewhere. I am still awaiting Feedback from the UK Buyer who wanted to know when I would be refunding him for the VAT he had to pay on his parcel.
I also use daily a lot of the items I had when I started out on eBay - it is amazing how few resources you need when you are only turning over "old stuff". Although it is just as well we have few friends; in our apartment the guest bed is usually covered with stock to sell or post. When our grandson comes to sleep-over, it all has to go on the floor.

Another one that can't read,(as it's clearly written in your listings),
If they do anything stupid you could always appeal,(especially if you can get them to admit in a
message that they did it because of the VAT).

Our spare bed has a "bit" of stuff on it and it has to go,(shoved) into a wardrobe if anyone
comes to stay,
I had a buyer from WA ding my stars because it took 4 days to get there,

I received my copy of this book yesterday. What a marvellous publication - sponsored by the Gordon Darling Foundation, the price is a steal for a large size 255 page book, lavishly photographed. Like the 1983 publication, sure to be keenly sought after on the secondary market.
