Hi I have had these passed to me from my Grandparents. On the Noritake vases I have identified the back mark I think as 1908 but would love to know the history/ pattern name and or esitmated worth. Hope anyone can help me to identify them. There are 2 of the larger vases and one of the little ones.
Also there is a Wedgwood vase which I have no idea of age or pattern if anyone can help.
Many thanks
Anna

Mark "Komaru" & was registered in England in 1908 & 1911 in Japan, your could be 1908-1920 when art deco patterns came in.
Thought to be made for export pieces for the UK market.
Its lovely.
The Wedgwood i am no help with, base stamps always help but someone may know the pattern, poss acorn leaf or such ???
It may take abit off hunting around on the web.

heres a spot to match the mark http://www.noritakecollectorsguild.info/bstamps/
in more recent times they call it a Maruki mark. the date of mark registration is when they began using the mark, it doesn't say when they stopped using that colour mark.

hi kitty kat. it certainly looks the same. it also looks like gotheborg like the older accepted term for the mark, the folks at the noritake guild are of a diferent opinion.

a Japanese gentleman (who's name escapes me) with some association with the company (in what capacity escapes me too ) apparently politely corrected them (for reasons that escape me )
