Hi Everyone … been a while since I have posted here … but I always have a look in to see what the collectors have been up to … Always have a look at “the what I’ve found” thread … and it is nice to see it is still being run by 2chappies (a lovely lady)
.
I would like to be able to identify this piece
.
I am a bookseller, but when I saw this at the local car boot sale at Kincumber … I just had to have it …
.
in my eye it is truly a beautiful piece
.
I have shown it to several people who know their pottery (and they all want it … lol)
.
The general opinion is:
.
Approx 1950s
.
Excellent quality and condition
.
Beautifully handpainted
.
Bit unusual being a larger piece (opinion is, normally these sort of things are smaller)
.
Being a jug as opposed to a vase
.
The handle’s pointed shape (which is also decorated) is also a little unusual
.
If I were to attribute it to a maker … I would say Studio Anna … but after much much much goooogling … all their pieces seem marked/stamped … and generally smaller
.
Any help would be much appreciated
.
