Japanese Cast Iron teapot

I have one of these 'Japanese Antique IWACHU Tea Pot Kettle Tetsubin Chagama Cast Iron' (or similar title), and wanted to know, if possible, whether it's the genuine thing, or something produced for the tourist trade.

I've seen heaps of them on eBay (I think it's the US site) and they are asking quite a bit for them.  I've actually seen one that has the same finial on the lid as mine, and the seller is asking something like $300 (US).

Anyone able to give me an opinion, as this is totally out of my league.2392.JPG

If it's only today then it's because of being friday, eBay maintenance day.

Otherwise sounds like a browser bug.

Try clearing cookies n cache then restart computer.

And you are probably already using chrome or firefox as a browser.

No, it's happened a few times, including earlier this week.

Cleared C&C, re-booted this morning.  Went into a bit of a panic (well actually a large one), 'cos I couldn't access my FB page.  Got a NASTY error message.  All sorted now thankfully. (Phew!!!)  And yes to Chrome and Firefox.  Haven't used IE for years.

Never mind.  If I want to see pics someone has posted I'll just stay logged out, and then log in if I am able to contribute anything positive.  It isn't a biggie, just couldn't work out the 'why'.

But just thinking, on the Discussion Forum  the same thing applies.  When I'm not logged in I can see all the bold, the colours, underlines, etc., when logged in it's just normal text - no emphasis of any sort visible.

When I logged in just now using Firefox on my other id - pics were there.  Changed it to this id, and no pics.

Oh well, such is life, and computers.

If it's only the one ID then it must have something to do with settings in community.

Thanks Kopes.  I'll have a look - gotta be on another day though, bad day on a personal level.  But when I get time I'll see if I can suss it out.  I really appreciate your efforts to help me.
