Need help with Barrel/Container/Jar Please.

Just wondering/hoping if anyone can shed some light on this container/barrel I have.

Any info on maker ?  Country of manufacture ? or approx.age would be greatly appreciated.

It is approx. 12.5cm(5") high and 16cm(6.5") in diameter.

here we go, its most likely japanese. it has the right look and decoration, just unmarked , a lot is. the quality of the decoration varies   http://www.tias.com/9058/PictPage/3923211603.html
