Royal Winton Grimwades Advice

Hi

I have a cup/saucer in a pretty pale yellow.

The saucer stamp is Royal Winton Grimwades - Made in England

The cup has Grimwades - Made in England ( it's quite blurry )

The cup handle has the shape at the top like the Tiger Lily but it's plain yellow and not the normal colourful lily.

It doesn't look like it has ven been colourful ( not rubbed off ) and the is no gilt trim inside the cup.

Could it be seconds or a fake maybe.

Cheers

PS - I can't remember how to add a pic

Sorry - red is my colour.

And now you have opened a can o' worms.

I have had a little brass thingy for about two years and been to all corners of the screen trying to identify it.

It has been known to come out at parties for a crack - from cigar cutter to a ravioli press any anything in between

Should I open a new thread - I CAN POST SOME PHOTOS OF IT....LOLOLOLOL

Start a new thread because some people don't come back to the first one if they don't know the answer

Cup and saucer may not be a match, you need Deb.  She has forgotten more than we will ever know about Grimwades.

Hi,,

sorry, I don't come onto the boards much any more ๐Ÿ˜ž Too busy with life in general!

These are tiger lily, but undecorated, so they will have been made between 1939-45.

Good one Deb, how are you all going.  I still have a peek at your listing every week.
