First day of autumn and it's wet and miserable here in Sydney. X-( Just heard we've had the wettest summer in five years. WHAT summer??
Who will be first in with a find?

Don't know for sure nanny. I have seen them both in larger forms and have the sitting one as a mermaid. She can be found with pointed legs too. The most unusual thing on this pair is the glaze. They actually feel heavy and rough and I have been looking up glazes all afternoon.
The surface feels like like rusted iron with flaked enamel over the surface and is not like any other Ellis or any other pottery that I have ever seen. Any ideas from anyone?

Good afternoon Everyone 🙂
Technically not what I found in March but found some good things last week when we went for a run down to Wollongong:
a snoopy bowl
and plate

Four pieces for the beginning of March, putting them in four posts.
The MCP piece I have never seen in the flesh before,no doubt there are hundreds out there.
The Fowler Ware bowl was going to the tip,so I rescued it,the lovely blue pot could be Mashman but not sure and last but not least an everyday beer tankard made by Tiffany & Co.

Granny the pot looks a lot like Mashman and someone will be able to tell for sure.
I found a few strange ones on Sunday as well.
