Hallo I hope I have photographed these marks the right way up, apologies if I have not. The set comprises cups, saucers, plates, small and large teapots with lids, and is quite light to handle. thank you

Afraid I can't help with this particular mark, but if you search "geisha tea set" you will find many similar - if you look hard enough, you may find one similarly marked. It was obviously a traditional pattern, made for export for many many years. We used to call this "eggshell" - whether that is the right term, I have no idea.

a lot of this porcelain is known as Kutani, and the quality varies markedly. i think yours is of quite good quality.
