unusual vase need help

I have found a unusual vase. first it has a textured surface it has what looks like romans or spartans marching with a dove above them as i go around the vase isee a red brick wall, above it is a blue type rectangle above that a white and green ones then the pattern repeats but there are subtle differences between the 2 , the neck has 2pairs of sprils above each other green and terracotta color. Does any one have any idea if it is worth anything? p.s....how do you postpics?

when i rub my finger on the base i can just feel the ridges of a star if that helps.

and the surface of the vase feels like sandpaper is this a commom item?

the star means its chinese from about mid 1960's. the texture is called Shark Skin.
