i dont think anyone expected to see people loaded on lifeboats at gunpoint with  help from pepper spray. it didn't occur to me that an australian government would brutalise people and trash our international reputation to appease the worst in us. its not a win its a disgrace. it helped the green vote in WA considerably.

i'm feeling only shame at the brutalising of innocent people and the murder of another. a government that denies legal representation like a third world dictatorship and denies australian citizens details including the truth.  we have no real idea if it is in fact true.

i'd prefer asylum seekers onshore to a repressive secretive multi- billion dollar vote chasing exercise .
