A libertarian / voluntaryist view on the value and meaning of the second amendment. Your gun rights are up to you. Because you have a right to life, liberty and property, you have a right to defend them .As long as you live by the non-aggression principle, there should be no limits on civilians owning and carrying weapons

Here is proof that even Australians have this right. Should they decide to use it is up to them, each of them as indiviuals. It's not only a basic human right, but the right of anything that has life. Dogs, Cats, any living thing

Fortunately, we also have laws that we must abide by and Australian law prohibits gun ownership for protection.

I strongly suggest you watch these videos, I doubt you even watched the first one in the opening post. The message I'm getting from a fellow human is that humans can't be trusted with something that we as humans created (that being guns) But logic would dictate if you make it criminal to own and carry guns, then only criminals will have them. Some being real life criminals who are not concerned with following laws, and others being good people that we made into criminals by passing such laws
The 2ed amendment, It only outlines a right that already existed throught the world, saying that owning and carrying guns is vital to the ability of self defense in a world with guns.
When everything is against the law, everyone will be a criminal. When the laws no longer apply to police of one agency or another, nothing they ever do can be considered wrong.
Please keep in mind this is only a discussion of differing opinions. I would hope we could discuss this as adults and not let it turn into a dispute. For me to put this any other way would be me not speaking my own mind. I like to keep things real, so to speak

She's back !. Still has not realised that Australia and the rest of world are NOT part of USA. We do not have to put up with moronic and stupid groups who have access to weapons of mass killing ruling our freedom to live safely. If somebody wants to own a gun here they have to show WHY they need it and also how many of these weapons they own.
Can you show us how many innocent people are murdered or killed either accidentally or deliberately because of this so called God given right to own unlimited numbers of weapons, why would anyone need a 50 shot high velocity assault weapon for their "personal safety ??????

They have a right to their teeth and claws. Their tools for self defense. Just as animals with horns, fangs with poison/venom glands, ect. Those are the tools they can use. They would not have the ability to pick up and use a gun effectivly.
We can't even rid the world of nukes, what makes you think we can rid the world of guns. All we can do is lower people to the level of criminals for asserting their own freedom. Governments all over the world do it as a common practice not to make the world a safer place, but to keep people under their thumb, because if they have something on you, you are less likely to call them on their crimes.
