I'd say the 200 range is one of the best built by Volvo,..theyre so well made,..feels like i'd cark it first before my car lol

Ive always liked the style of the 144 though, just a tidy looking med sized sedan.

The 260C was designed & built by Bertone, not many in right hand drive...the one that cruises around here is the only one ive ever seen, turns my head!

I always, and I'm not kidding, mispronounce that model car everytime, I have to really think about it before I say it.

Mini's are cool, I was in sydney the other day, parked and this chick had a mini and she just chucked it in the parking space, cool!  The only thing I dont like about it is, its just too small.  I watched her bring up the back seats for her passengers.

Az, From memory Ford bought out Volvo or they merged or something.

I think new Volvos are just beautified Fords anyhow lolz....still good.

but, I like the older original ones.

240 244 definitely the best , 142 coupe was my favorite though , if you locked yourself out you could remove the rear side window with a five cent piece ( remove the large chrome philips head screw and the windows out) the 260C had some issues with build quality devotees say. i'd like a 240T for robbie frankovic impersonations myself. a couple nearby offered me their amazon (122) but wanted more than i was prepared to pay.

I dont think Volvo liked those V6 engine either they pulled out of the joint venture with Peugeot & Renault in the early 90s. I heard theyre not recommended..balance problems being 90 degree etc. I wouldnt touch one.

Those 240Ts are nice race cars, & fast, have you tried hunting one down LL?

Another fellow i met through selling parts has a Amazon, he sightly modified his for more grunt and installed a later model manual gearbox with overdrive. the rest of the car is original condition, needs paint last time i saw it. Goes alright!

His 2 acre block is filled with Volvo wrecks..I was surprised he bought parts off me for his wifes 240 wagon. But then again i sold parts which ive regreted, i now need right hand headlight lens for my car lol

Yes i agree Crystal, Minis wouldnt suit me either, wouldnt go any smaller then a medium sized car. And as for your V8..  there is no substitute for cubic inches:-D but, we can only make do with what we can afford.
