BODMAS (Brackets of DIVISION, MULTIPLICATION, ADDITION and SUBTRACTION) - in that order.

6 - 1 X 0 + (2 / 2) = 6 - 1 X 0 + 1

6 - (1 X 0) + 1 =  6 - 0 + 1

 6 - (0 + 1 ) = 6 - 1

6 - 1 = 5

It's a stupid question without the Parentheses.  There are too many ways to get different results.

There is ONLY one correct answer - you follow BODMAS - it's basic math.  It's taught in primary school.

Where there are no brackets, to work the sum out you use BODMAS.

Brackets Of Division Multiplication Addition and Subtraction - in that order.

So, in this sum, you put in brackets - (there is no of, like square roots) so first the division, then the multiplication, then the addition then the subtraction, giving you an answer of 5.

There is only one answer to this sum.
