Telstra confirms mass Sensis job losses
The cuts will include 312 staff from Melbourne and 248 from Sydney, with the remaining 38 spread across Adelaide, Perth, Brisbane and Hobart.

That is very sad for the staff who are losing their jobs.
However, Sensis really has had 'its day' technology wise, people can do their own searches (e.g. city search) etc, without using Sensis.

Re outsourcing I had a mobile call from Sth Africa today that was from customer service/call centre for an Au website that I had made an enquiry on.

Negative spin - it is now reported as being 800 jobs lost... outsourcing 800 jobs to the Phillipines.

I did hear that it was 800 on the news but could only find the artical that said 600+ so thats what I wrote
