As many on here seem to think that the conflict in Syria is a Muslim versus the West war, I thought I would post a reminder that the majority of dead in this war are Muslims at the hands of a crazy army who seems to have declared war on everything especially their own people.
The uprising started because a small minority group came to power and targeted not only other minority groups (westerners, syrian christians, kurds etc) but also targeted the Sunni who make up the majority of the population in Syria.
This is a civil war. It is not a jihad. It is not a terrorist operative against the west directly.
I would also like to point out (for those who believe that halal labels fund terrorism) that I.S. is funded almost entirely by selling crude oil. So if you are really concerned about how terrorism is funded, then I suggest you stop filling up th gas tank.

It's a case of muslims killing muslims. They all (muslims) read the same owners' manual don't forget.
Now that is very true

I hear what you are saying ineeda....I gave you a kudo even, for your topic for discussion rather than for your opinion.
.....but there are extremists everywhere.....absolutely everywhere. But they do not range in the numbers being purported.
There is more 'power' in the corporate vested interests. Specifically in the Fracking industry than in the Islamic Faith. This is my opinion anyhow. Everyone has their price. Most can be bought with money to do just about anything.

What is the significance of your last sentence?
errr, muslims killing muslims, what in that sentence didn't you understand? That is what we are witnessing every day but they don't just confine it to muslims it's anybody they feel like killing, nobody's safe from them.

so mining is worse than mass murder, beheadings, live burials, child rape and slavery??? I'm staggered at this analogy, now I don't feel so bad for those poor doomed people all I have to worry about is cheap gas. Who knew.

What is there to say? What is clear exactly? IS is a problem that needs to be stopped. Not because they are muslim but because they are lunatic radicals.
And if I recall correctly, I was one of the first to post on icy's thread about Abbott sending arms/troops to Syria. My post supported Abbott.
So what are you suggesting? That I support IS simpy because I don't support Islamaphobia?

They will be defeated and totally wiped out and the mad mullahs who dream of a muslim world will get theirs in the end just like Saddam Hussein did.
Nobody is excusing ISIL actions. And if you think that Saddam Hussein was a mullah then you indeed need some lectures.
I did not call Saddam Hussien a mullah.
If you want to continuously post to my posts then may I suggest you read them carefully before commenting.
Well, you put him in the same sentence, although there is no connection between him and mullahs, mad or otherwise.

Ahh. I thought so.
