A question for those from Brisbane please

My 12 year old daughter and I are going to the Gold Coast for a few dates and also seeing One Direction in Brisbane.

I have not been to Brisbane since 1987 and that was only for a few days and I have no idea of my way around or where anything is.

I will hire a small car to get around

Can anyone suggest some accommodation within walking distance from the stadium ? And somewhere I can get to with reasonable ease in a strange city and that has parking

Or somewhere I can find accommodation and easily get a taxi without a expensive cost. As I have no idea about public transport in Brisbane and don't want to be trying to find my way about late at night

Thanks

Family members have  stayed here, your tickets will get you free public transport to and from.

If it is at the Entertainment Centre, look in this thread.  This family is in Brisbane now I believe.  Maybe ask Ten what she eventually did.

If is it at Suncorp Stadium, that is inner west Brisbane, and there would be a lot of accommodation choices.

Taxis would be best at night.  I don't suggest walking around the Stadium area at night.

If you hire a car, do you have a GPS to bring?  Because there are a lot of toll roads and bridges, and you can programme the GPS to avoid them.

Others might know better than me about stuff.

Suncorp Stadium is walking distance from Milton Railway Station so any hotel close to a rail line should work.  I wouldn't suggest hiring a car in Brisbane as parking is a nightmare.
