A very dirty thread

So I found this plate, it was under a pot plant and it was black with indoor plant fertiliser, I was about to chuck it but when I looked underneath it was a numbered Franklin Mint plate called Purrfection.

I ran it under water and soaked it and it came clean! Mostly.

I feel like I've found a treasure, it was so black with plant fertiliser it looked rusty. I thought it would never come clean. But it has a black ring around the edge from dried plant fertiliser I've been soaking it and very gently trying to pick the black stuff off.

Any tips on how I could gently clean it?

Thanks

soak in bi carb and vinegar, make sure you do it in the sink though.

you can also use bleach too 1 part bleach to 3 parts water., clair it also depends on how much the stain is in the plate you may never get it clean
