So I found this plate, it was under a pot plant and it was black with indoor plant fertiliser, I was about to chuck it but when I looked underneath it was a numbered Franklin Mint plate called Purrfection.
I ran it under water and soaked it and it came clean! Mostly.
I feel like I've found a treasure, it was so black with plant fertiliser it looked rusty. I thought it would never come clean. But it has a black ring around the edge from dried plant fertiliser I've been soaking it and very gently trying to pick the black stuff off.
Any tips on how I could gently clean it?
Thanks

soak in bi carb and vinegar, make sure you do it in the sink though.
you can also use bleach too 1 part bleach to 3 parts water., clair it also depends on how much the stain is in the plate you may never get it clean

my pleasure clair
if that doesnt work, try Grumption multi-purpose cleaner
one of my sisters introduced me to it when she cleaned my house, its a bit like industrial compound - works a treat

maybe you could go and rub it in the dirt and take a pic.
