Abbott V Rudd 21st at 6.30pm Skynews and ABC 24
Should be a fun forum and Tony will have another win.... 🙂
Wonder if the stress of a losing campaign is getting KRUDD. Will he be able to keep it together tonight
Cranky Kev lets fly at the Coalition and media at press conference in Brisbane
KEVIN Rudd appears to have switched from negative to angry.
It was cranky Kevin who this morning lashed out at the Coalition, the media, became defensive about Labor's policies and entertained the prospect of Tony Abbott becoming prime minister.

Looks like the result was a win to Rudd?

I don't think either won. Mr Rudd had a lot to say but said little?

The program says Rudd won.
I got bored with it quite early on.

I think it could have been a better debate had they been told they were not to repeat themselves, nor raise the old "Mr Abbott/Coalition did this/ will do this, Mr Rudd/Labor did that /will do this"
I tend to switch off as soon as I hear "stop the boats"

The Age printed 80% Abbott & the rest to Rudd & undecided. Rudd was rude aggressive & in your face from the minute it started & then scurried off at the end but Abbott stayed for questions, was mobbed & applauded when he left.
We saw the arrogance of Rudd like we saw every day in parliament, the back turning, the arrogant slouch at the box & the total ignoring of any speaker from the other side.
Rudd talked & talked & talked but it was all rhetoric, he never said anything, no policy & no costings for the massive ndis, gonski & NBN and all the other promised goodies only in the forward estimates all on the never never.
He was on the 70 billion black hole again when he knows that's a lie. He had no record to stand on the public know it & they also know what record he did have ended in a fiasco. The last 3 years of Gillard never mentioned at all.
He came across as desperate, waffled & talked over Abbott at every turn.
The consensus is Abbott won on all points by nearly all commentators.

Just stated on Sunrise that the people using stop-watches at the debate to time the speaking-time for both men have verified that Rudd spoke a whole minute and a half longer than Abbott! I think Abbott is so used to monopolising conversations that he doesn't understand sharing the stage, and in any case he never answers a question, he goes off on a tangent, and soon just starts critisising something the government did 6 years ago. TA outburts shows why they try to keep him on a short leash.
