Lol, getting a bit ahead of himself for sure. Though LNP supporters would say otherwise.

Abbott - another blunder

Labor and many sanctimonious journalists and blog posters got that “gaffe” completely wrong, and I suspect voters will decide to put them in their place. In fact, Abbott is so sure of it that he today gave journalists another chance to overreact:

  • Tony Abbott's had more kind words for Fiona Scott, the Liberal Party candidate he described as having ``sex appeal''.
Mr Abbott found himself in hot water last week when he made the gaffe on a visit to the key marginal western Sydney seat of Lindsay.

Mr Abbott made a return trip to the electorate on Monday, but Ms Scott said her boss has nothing to be sorry about.
''There is no need to apologise for what is an absolutely charming compliment between friends,'' she told reporters in St Marys on Monday.''

''I think it's a sad day when a man cannot compliment a woman.''

The opposition leader was ready with just such a compliment when Ms Scott was asked to outline the coalition's five pillar policy for the future of the Australian economy - and followed through quite nicely.

Mr Abbott then addressed the elephant in the room.

''At the risk of exciting anybody, can I just say obviously from that answer she ain't just a pretty face,'' he said to laughs

He is eating Labor and the sanctimonious for a light snack and as predictable as ever look who starts a topic on it and look who will now post on it going tsk tsk.  Abbott is playing the media and the sanctimonious for the joke that they are

I loved his tongue in cheek comment today where he said "THE FORMER GOVERNMENT"  He got that right, just a couple of weeks early and is playing the media now with his words.....

A very smart man...

Looked up hubris on my thesaurus but no suggestions so no idea what you mean, as PH would say "please explain"
