Actual Ebay question.

If a seller says Cash on pick up or Bank transfer only.

Does that mean you can't pay via paypal?

Actual Ebay question.

It is no longer required to offer PayPal for vehicles.

Or if the seller offers merchant facilities (credit card payments) they don't need to offer PayPal.

For pick up only items people should pay only cash, after they inspected the item and are happy with it.  There is no protection for pick up only items.  So, if you pay with PayPal and the item is carp, there is nothing you can do about it.

But for anything else that has to be posted the seller cannot say Bank transfer only.

kazumi, PayPal has introduced protection for pick up items now. Came in last year.

But yes, cash on pick up items is best after it's inspected.
