We have people spreading the hate for everyone from the PM to the disabled and refugees everyday.
Today we have Adam Goodes, who truly lived up to his name.

Adam Goodes is as much white as he is black , if not more so , yet he has chosen to only acknowledge one portion of his heritage and claim to be aboriginal , by aligning with only part of his ancestral linage, is he not acting in a racially biased manner, he is like many Australians , me included , is of mixed heritage, so to claim it was racial to me is not correct , personally I think booing any player is unnecessary and as a junior football coach makes it hard to teach junior footballers about good sportsmanship.
it never ceases to amaze me that people who have the greatest opertunity unit people end up doing everything they can to divide them, Adam Goodes could have stood up and said I am Australian and embrace the best of both sides of my heritage and work to unite both sides unfortunatly he chose to divide them instead and a great opertunity went begging

Yes, Kilroy. I wrote something similar back on post #218
and I'll repeat it because you raise a very good point.
(I wrote)
"I'd rather that people drop all this race stuff anyway.
Proud to be black, proud to be Chinese, proud to be white or Indian, proud to claim some sort of particular racial identity even when sometimes, that is not even the most dominant part of their mixed racial heritage.
What's to be gained by appealing to pride in an accident of birth? It's not an acheivement to be black, brown, brindled or white. It's something beyond our control.
I'd rather peole drop all this racist b/s and if they have anything to be proud about, then how about showing pride in personal achievement, and not in some random happenstance of fate?"

Personally I find it quite offensive that he only acknowledges his "black" side, when it is obvious there is quite a bit of "white" in there as well ....

The more interesting question to me, is whether Goodes et al will continue to throw imaginary spears and make obscene arm gestures at the opposition spectators.
