Approx 2 weeks ago my vehicle was repaired after someone ran into me. My right rear door was replaced and resprayed and was told that the whole right side was resprayed. Today I was on a bit of a hill and closed my drivers door and the door trim felt came away
and is now not secure. My question is would they have had to remove the door trim to respray the door. Sorry for the dumb question but if so I will take it back next week. TIA.

It depends if they had to take the door off to respray, and bake it, so maybe yes, maybe no.
you should call the people who did the repairs and ask them 🙂 that is the only way you will know.
if it was done through insurance, let them know about it too, as the work should be guaranteed.
in any case, it would look like either the door had other damage (for the trim to fall off) or the respray somehow did it.
so it should be covered by either insurance if you claimed, or the bodyshop.

They may have taken the trim off to remove the door handle for respraying.
They now use a 2 pac paint that chemicaly hardens instead of baking.
Did you sign a release when you picked the car up?
