...Abbott has no plans to cut back on spending nor is he planning on cutting back on our countries debt.
So all that shrill panic from the Liberals about our dire economic situation was just dishonest waffle then was it?
An Abbott government would let the federal deficit blow out rather than break a spending promise, Tony Abbott says.
Asked what he would do if faced with a choice between honouring his spending commitments and keeping his pledge to return the budget to surplus, Mr Abbott told Fairfax Media in an interview: ''You'll notice we haven't said we're going to get to a surplus by a particular date.''

It's getting a little violent out there
POLICE are investigating allegations that a Liberal campaign worker threatened the sister of western Sydney Labor MP Ed Husic with a Stanley knife last night.
Local Victorian Police this morning raided the home of a Liberal staffer at 1am after claims that Liberal operatives had vandalised and stolen Labor campaign material for MP Anthony Byrne, and threw eggs at his car.

Financial Review 4th Sept 2013: Abbott on Chris Bowen’s release of Labor’s costings today: "The Treasurer has purported to release Labor’s costings, in fact he’s released less than half of the 66 policies that have been submitted for costing. And then there are some 13 policies that have been announced and not even submitted for costing.
"It was the media that got that wrong, causing Treasury to correct the misrpresentatione." WHAT????????. I would love some links to support that rather strange statement
Meanwhile from a ABC transcipt of an interview with Shorten:
ABC Host: "Yesterday the three most senior members of the financial section of the Government said that the public servants had exposed a $10 billion hole in savings and subsequently the public servants, in a most unusual measure, put out a statement themselves saying at no stage has either Department of Finance or Treasury, costed Opposition policies. They just didn’t do it"
SHORTEN: There it goes again, Marius. The Treasury Department has not been able to cost the Opposition policies since the election started.
HOST: But the Prime Minister said they had and revealed a black hole, that’s the issue..
So it was the media's fault FN?, " I would love to see that"

The costings Wong, Bowen and friend were waving around were from a request lodged in May.
The documents were from the PBO and they were clearly titled. The request was from the Gov re Opposition cost of removing carbon tax.
Some in the media got confused about what they were and reported the story incorrectly, hence the correction from PBO and Treasury.
The document clearly stated OUTSIDE CARETAKER MODE.
Search it up if you want to see the whole story. I'm at work and can't look for the details until later.
The documents were posted on the internet by various sources.
