After watching Q & A with David Suzuki....I am starting to feel kind of sorry for Alarmists....
David Suzuki also had to admit he was wrong..lol.
http://www.abc.net.au/tv/qanda/txt/s3841115.htm
"David Suzuki on the very first question is revealed as a complete know-nothing. His questioner tells him that the main climate
data sets show no real warming for some 15 years.
Suzuki asks for the references, which he should have known if he knew anything of the science.
His questioner then lists them: UAH, RSS, HadCrut and GISS - four of the most basic measurement systems of global
temperature.
Suzuki asks what they are.
Anyone interested in global warming should know right there that Suzuki has absolutely no understanding of what he is talking
about...
For Example -
Challenged from the floor by Professor Stewart Franks, Suzuki admits he might have been mistaken in claiming global warming
was causing more cyclones, which he blamed for killing the Great Barrier Reef. He blames some Australian for “suggesting” it to
him. The truth, as I’ve noted before, is easily found on the Bureau of Meteorology website:.."
Between Tim Flannery and David Suzuki, it must be very embarrassing time to be an Alarmist......lol.
Solved! Go to Solution.

Admitting when he was wrong, I can see how you would have a problem with that...

Problem Topsidesoul?
The first line of my OP said it all......
"..After watching Q & A with David Suzuki....I am starting to feel kind of sorry for Alarmists...".

Hello, everyone. This discussion is getting a little heated. Could we please communicate with a more civil tone. Thanks!

geez livish.
people here like it like that.
we are not toddlers we are ADULTS.
we can handle an argument without long term psychological damage.
we would really like to be treated as adults and not as if we were 4 yo.
thanks.

we can even prove that we aren't toddlers. in a way anyway.
we type faster and the words we would like to use are adult words.
it's like kindergarten here.
i know that there are people who like to dress up in nappies, like to be fed as if they were babies but that is a sex fetish thingie or so.
we are mostly normal adults. we do not get wet by being treated like toddlers.

Geez fancy calling David Suzuki a "complete know-nothing" on the strength of a television interview.
From Wikipedia:
Suzuki received his B.A. in Biology in 1958 from Amherst College in Massachusetts, where he first discovered genetics study,[3] and his Ph.D. in Zoology from the University of Chicago in 1961.
Early in his research career he studied genetics using the popular model organism Drosophila melanogaster (fruit flies). To be able to use his initials in naming any new genes he found, he studied dominant temperature-sensitive (DTS) phenotypes. (As he jokingly noted at a lecture at Johns Hopkins University, the only alternative subject was "**bleep** tough skin".) He was a professor in the genetics department (stated in his book Genethics: The Ethics of Engineering Life, 1988) at the University of British Columbia for almost forty years, from 1963 until his retirement in 2001, and has since been professor emeritus at a university research institute.[4]
The man deserves respect for his achievements.

"Here is what my original post said - ..your quote from James E. Hansen - We can predict with confidence that the next decade will be warmer than the last." appears in a 1971 Washington Post article that warns of an impending ice age within 50 years. it's not the 70"s anymore Monman. He loves being an Alarmists.....hot or cold..Good to see you found some links referring to that quote.
I suggest you do likewise.
The quote does not appear in a 1971 Washington Post article, so why deliberately post incorrect rubbish?, and apart from bluster, (outright misinformation or deliberate distortion of the facts) how about you post where you allegedly found some links referring to that quote, not that you will because you fabricated the reference, which is what I would expect..
So having made a definitive statement, authenticate it, because credibility is dependant on authenticity, otherwise subsequent (and previous) posts will be judged accordingly, and so far you credibility apropos this aspect of the debate is NIL.

yeah DLA!
Authenticate it!
Substantiate it!
*giggle* just doesn't quite hit the spot.

Hello, everyone. This discussion is getting a little heated
Well, I blame global warming.

Monman....you seem to have found multiple links that refer to that article.............yet don' t believe it exists?.......lol....
Again.......
You seem to be taking the focus off the fact you posted a quote stating he was the Director at NASA's Goddard Institute...
I don't care when he left.....it was still wrong....and out of date!
Trying to take the focus off your poor research?........lol.
On a thread about David Suzuki....you haven't mentioned his name once...... why is that?
Let me guess.....you share my feelings about him....just can't admit it? I noticed you shared my feelings on Tim Flannery......
I think all your posts are just a smoke screen..........come on admit David Suzuki gives scientists a bad name......lol.
