"Shirtfront", an aggressive Australian sports term used by Prime Minister Tony Abbott to challenge Russia's Vladimir Putin, was Wednesday picked as the National Dictionary Centre's word of the year, beating "man-bun".
While some critics branded his use of the term as inappropriate, Foreign Minister Julie Bishop said last month that "it's now entered the diplomatic lexicon of many countries".
Another Abbott favourite, "Team Australia", also came close to winning.
Abbott first used it in August when he said migrants must be on "Team Australia" as he warned about the threat of home-grown terrorism.

As long as Bishop has her lexicon with her, we are OK.

I thought "Shirtfronting" was to issue a hollow threat to someone over 14000 kms away, and then when they are only 14cm's away hand them a cute animal to cuddle

Are you sure shirt fronting wasn't a good dose of koala pee down the shirt front?

Well, if we compared to Labour / Greens. over 1000 people drowned because of the AS Policy.
And they couldn't have given a damn, as Sarah "Two dads" indicated when asked by just ignoring the whole situation,
"as long as the boats are allowed to keep coming" !
