There's something universally appealing about small / baby animals.
I was digging in the garden this morning and found a few big, fat earthworms. I offered them to the not-so-baby magpie, who politely played with one before admitting that she didn't really like them, but thanked me for the effort. She's a cutie.
Come about 5.15 this evening I'll put out some cooked macaroni elbows for her parents. They usually pick up two or three pieces and then take off at high speed, over the roof. The last feeding of the day... Poor little thing, she feels a bit left out now that her parents are busy with a new brood, but she's independent enough to look after herself, and she's always got me to amuse her. I may not always know what the right things to feed her are, but she finds me agreeable company all the same.
(I should cut and paste that for my blog, LOL).
*And then I go back and correct all spelling mistakes... Obviously I haven't had enough cups of tea, today.

Apparently Hitler was big on animal rights, he banned kosher slaughter and tried to ban hunting as well...
